Last week we completed THE CHALLENGE! The kiddos had to work together to build either the tallest or the strongest tower. It was awesome to see all the creativity and the teamwork! Originally there were only supposed to be two prizes but I was so amazed by their innovation and their teamwork that each time received a prize!

Weekly Letter:
Today we wrote our first weekly letter with the following format. The students will write a weekly letter home each week about what we are doing in school. Parent's please sign the weekly letter to let me know that they have shared it with you!

Weekly Letter Assignment


Date your paper
Head your paper
  • Dear Mom,
  • Dear Grandpa,


First Paragraph:
  • Tell your family about your week
  • Write about at least one thing you did each day (look at your agenda for ideas)
  • Tell about your highlight of the day and any other interesting events or activities that you want to share


Second Paragraph:
  • Tell your family some of your daily goals from this week and how you did with meeting them.
  • Were you successful? How? What did you do to make sure you were successful?
  • If you weren’t successful what will you do next time?


Third Paragraph:
  • Share with your family 3 things you’ve learned about other people in the class


Sign your letter:
Sincerely,
(Your name)

Turn in on Thursday with your homework and a parent signature!  

Friday's Writing Lesson:

How Were The First Days With Ms. Wich?
Please write in complete sentences with your best spelling & punctuation!
1.     How were the first two days of school? Are you feeling different now that you met everyone?
2.     Who is someone new from our class that you got to know? Who are they and what is one thing you learned about them?

3.     What was your favorite part about the first two days of school? (CAN’T BE RECESS OR LUNCH).
